I really like this! Good flavor and protein content. They are really convenient. Probably be good for camping or emergency rations."
I run a vegetarian and gluten-free household. We are always on the search for new tasty meal options, especially those that can be easily eaten out of the house or be saved for emergency preparedness. These meals check all of our boxes!
They're healthy and taste good, too. Of course, not everyone loves everything. I have one kid who doesn't like pineapple in food. I don't tolerate spicy food very well, whereas for my children's father food is rarely spicy enough. But taken all together, the Loma Linda meal options leave us all happy!"
I was surprised at how fresh this tasted - the pineapple and the peppers and peas were tasty, and the overall seasoning is surprisingly good - it is not overly seasoned, yet is still enjoyable. The nutritional content is great, especially the fiber and protein content. It is convenient and needs no freezing or refrigeration. It is a single serving package, and it says there is one cup but it seems more like a cup and a half to me. Definitely filling for a meal for one person, or as a side dish for two people. You could also change it up a bit by adding fresh cilantro to give it a more ‘fresh’ taste, or adding a bit of hot sauce to kick up the heat. At less than $3/package, it is an inexpensive meal, and would be great to take to work (assuming you have a microwave). Overall I am pleased with the product, and was pleasantly surprised that it was as flavorful as it was. Hope this is helpful in your buying decision!"
